Paralegal/Legal Assistant:

Carr & Co Solicitors are an established law firm who have been serving the North East for over forty years. We currently have a vacancy for a full time Legal Assistant to be based between both Northumberland offices – Blyth and Morpeth.

This position is a varied job role covering all areas of Civil and Private Client law. It would suit someone looking for SQE qualifying work experience or for someone who is interested to work in a Civil and Private Client department as the vital support to the Civil and Private Client team.

It is a career opportunity which is suitable for someone who thrives off working on a wide variety of matters and is confident to multi-task on a daily basis.

Key elements of the role include:

  • Dealing with calls and enquiries
  • Arranging appointments/managing diaries
  • Matching post with files
  • Dealing with dictation
  • Carrying out file reviews for progress
  • Liaising with court service and other third parties

Private Client Solicitor:

We are currently seeking a full-time private client solicitor with at least 3 years post-qualified experience to work from our Blyth and Morpeth offices. Candidates must be proficient in handling Wills, Probate, Court of Protection and Lasting Powers of Attorney work. The ability to work unsupervised and handle a full caseload autonomously is a must.

A successful candidate will be able to offer a high level of client care and will be expected to participate in networking and promotion of the firm. This role presents a great opportunity for career development and includes an excellent financial package with the potential for a twice yearly discretionary bonus depending upon profit.

Salary is subject to experience.
